Kite Flying

Flying a kite is one of those parenting things that I hate, you want to say yes, but to often, there is no wind or no room or no time or some completely valid reason that a kite can not be flown at that precise moment and "later" is so disappointing your precious kiddo.  Well today, I was determined to say yes, there was a medium breeze and most important, grandma was on the clock, so we headed to the big park in Raymore after Ryan's nap.  I won't say things went smoothly, but we did manage to get it up in the air and it was a moment of true happiness.  I just wish it could have lasted longer, but Grant is still not 100% and was sitting in the van and Ryan had been so patient just sitting in the stroller and we were dangerously close to about 100 kids on the playground, so we had to pack up to soon and again say later.
